From the White Carpathians along the European long distance hiking trail E8 to Cicmany and across the Little Fatra to the national park LowerTatra
From Velka Javorina situated in the White Carpathians the primeval forest route uses the European hiking trail E8 crossing the Inowetz mountains and going tot he city of Trencin and its impressive castle. You pass a landscape rich in thermal springs and along the trail E8 you arrive the mountain range of the Little Fatra and the mountain Strazov (1.213 m). After crossing the mountain range of Rajetz you come to the village Čičmany. Cicmany is famous for its big number of wooden houses decorated with ethnic ornaments. The route continues over the mountain range of Kremnitz to Bralo and up to the mountain pass Donovali. The pass connects the city of Banska Bystrica with Dolny Kubin, situated in the national park Lower Tatra.
