Feeder route: Along the jungle path Kellerwald to Waldeck, along the Barbarossa route X8 to the old house of border in Heyerode inside the Hainich national park
The feeder of the European primeval forest route starts at the centre of the Kellerwald national park and follows the jungle path Kellerwald with primeval beech forest (UNESCO-world nature heritage) to Ederdorf, from there the student´s trail X13 to the city of Bad Wildungen, passing the Kleinersche Tor. Along the Barbarossa route X8 you reach the city of Melsungen and later the Heldrastein. The trail leads to the primeval beech forests as part of the Hainich national park (UNESCO-world nature heritage). In Heyerode the feeder route meets the main course of the European primeval forest route.
